1. Your Passport    
You must send your actual passport, not a copy of it. Your passport must be signed and be valid for at least 6 months beyond the validity of your requested visa, and have at least two blank visa pages (amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used for a visa ). Passports must also be in good condition and not altered in any way.If your passport does not meet these requirements, please contact us for further instructions.​

2. Photograph
You must provide TWO color passport-type photographs. DO NOT wear glasses when getting your photograph taken.DO NOT affix the photo to the application or trim the photo to fit the box on the application. Simply leave it loose in your package and we will handle the rest. The photos must be 2 inches by 2 inches and printed on photo paper, with a white background. Photos printed on regular papers are not accepted and may cause delay in processing your order.

3. Online Indian Visa Application
The  online application provided by Indian Consulate.​

4. Proof of Residency
You must provide a photocopy of state issued I.D. (e.g. driver's license), or photocopy of utility bill. Address on proof of residency must match the home address on the Visa Application Form.

​5. Special Requirements That May Apply to You
For Minors 17 and Younger
You must submit a photocopy of your birth certificate showing your parents' names, date of birth and nationality. Depending on your nationality at birth, an English translation of the following documents should be provided:
US Born: You must provide your birth certificate;
Indian Born: You must provide either your birth certificate, a previous Indian passport, or a school leaving certificate;
All Others: You must provide an English translation of your birth certificate or any government document from your country of origin that shows your parents' names, your date of birth and nationality. The document must be translated into English (if applicable) and notarized.
​Parents' Passport Copies: A copy of the vital page(s) containing the picture and signature of both parents' signed passports.​
For Applicants of Indian Origin Only
If you are of Indian origin, you are required to renounce your Indian citizenship in order to apply for an Indian visa. The processing time for your application will be increased as a result of this process. If you have already renounced your Indian citizenship, you must provide proof of your renunciation as one of the following:
A Certificate of Renunciation issued by a Consulate of India;
An Indian passport that contains a stamp of Renunciation;​
​For dual Citizenship & Persons of Pakistani Origin
​Applicants who have dual citizenship must apply on their US passport, if living in the US. The exception is for applicants who hold dual citizenship with Pakistan. Persons who have held Pakistani citizenship, and have also acquired US citizenship must apply for a visa on their Pakistani passport, with the only exception being for those who can prove that they have renounced their Pakistani citizenship with a copy of their renunciation certificate. When applying for the visa on the Pakistani passport, you must make a personal appearance at the Indian Consulate to process your visa, and CVSC is unable to assist in these procedures.

​6. Organization Registration
You must provide a proof of registration of your employer in India.

7. Tax Liability Letter
A tax liability letter from the company in India which must certify that the Indian company should be liable/take responsibility for paying taxes on behalf of the applicant, applicants should understand that there may be a delay in decisions made on the issuance of the visa.

8. Justification Letter
A letter from the employer in India certifying that applicant is a skilled and qualified professional, technical expert, senior executive or in a managerial position. This letter should state that the applicant's skills are not available in India.

9. Contract Letter
You must include a detailed employment contract letter that contains the salary information.

10. Resume and Employee Details Form
You must provide a resume and a copy of employee detail form.

11. Processing Fees
The following fees are for AVISANYC's professional services. Service fees are charged one per item. Final costs are determined by the level of service requested.

Rush Service (6 - 7 business days) $100.00 per visa + Consulate Fees + Shipping (If applicable)
